One day, Jay organised a call with her friends to introduce Andrew.
In the beginning, we were just talking to Ravi and Ranjit. Andrew has met Ravi in April last year when Ravi came to Manchester for a work project.
Ranjit and Andrew met for the first time on the recent WhatsApp video call, and they talked, enabling them to get to know one another briefly. Later Seetha joined the call and Jay started to be very giggly and happy on seeing her. They haven’t seen one another for many years. Jay’s very fond of Seetha and her smile. Seetha, Ranjit and Andrew were talking to one another asking and responding to a few questions.
After the call Andrew said to Jay that they four together appeared to a wonderful bunch of friends, very genuine and caring.
“A few friends are like family. You just know that they are there and they think about you. They would love to see you smiling and happy always. They might not talk often and enquire things but when you talk to them, they light your heart. They are warm and welcoming.”

The next day Jay informed Andrew that Ramya, a friend of Jay has asked if Jay can have a call on Sunday. We agreed to have a call and we were looking forward to let Ramya know about the wedding plans.
Jay and Ramya had a good time talking to one another. Jay felt very happy in seeing Ramya after two years. They had to catch up on what’s going on in their lives and their plans ahead. At this point, Jay disclosed about the wedding plans and introduced Andrew to Ramya. Andrew and Ramya had a good conversation about mentoring and teaching during the pandemic times and how technology can be used in the rural areas to continue teaching students. Ramya as well wished for our Wedding.
We are very happy to have conversed with a few friends ahead of our wedding. We will cherish these memories forever. Jay would like to have more of these calls so Andrew can bond with Jay’s friends. It feels engaging and inclusive.
